Animal alternative.   In consumer and industrial products, cosmetics, and environmental testing as well as in pharmaceuticals, HμREL^® provides better prediction of toxicities without resorting to live-animal testing.  When animal studies are unavoidable, performing preliminary in vitro studies on HμREL^® enables subsequent animal tests of the drug candidate to be undertaken with greater selectivity and discretion, and with improved likelihood that the sacrifice of animal lives will ultimately result in tangible benefit for humankind.
